I don’t care what you think!

by Tan Yew Wei on April 6, 2010

That’s what the body screams at the brain every day.

The brain needs to tell itself stories. It wants to live in a certain way, to eat certain foods, to partake in certain activities, etc.

Unfortunately, the body doesn’t care what the brain thinks, besides, it’s proven to be wrong many a time (like when you inhaled that chocolate cake and lit up that last cigarette).

But just as often, the brain continues to justify these activities as part of its lifestyle and its culture; something that it has it’s sovereign right to entitlement and something that should be perpetuated. After all, grandpa always had a shot (or 10) of vodka before bed every night, and he did fine.

It often forgets: Grandpa was simply a lucky fool.

It's not about whose views are most valid
